Poland accommodates impressive mountain landscapes, such as e.g. the table mountains (Gory Stolowe). In the southern part of the country the Polish central mountains, such as the Holy Cross Mountains, the Beskids, the Carpathians Forest and the Sudetes arise. The only high-altitude mountain in Poland are the Carpathians with the High Tatra. This has the highest mountain in Poland, with the Rysy (2, 499). The High Tatra and the Giant Mountains are perfect for winter sports.
